Well here we are nearly at the end of the school year – and what a very strange year it has been!! Who would have thought that when we said goodbye to you in March it would be September when we welcomed you all back again?
It has been really lovely seeing lots of you come in for your ‘Meet the Teacher’ sessions over the last 2 weeks. It was a joy to see all the happy faces – both children and parents!! You have all grown so much in the last 4 months. I speak on behalf of myself and all of the teachers and teaching assistants when I say how super impressed we were with the way you adapted to the new regulations and layout of the classrooms that we have had to put in place. You are a real credit to your parents and to our school.
I would like to say a special well done to our Year 6 children. Thank you to those of you that joined us for the liturgy with Father Michael on Tuesday – I enjoyed reflecting back on your memories with you. I know it isn’t the end of primary school that you all wanted – or that we wanted for you – but you know you are always welcome back here to say hello when it is safe to do so. I wish you the very best of luck at your secondary schools – I always hear very positive things about St Bega’s children when they leave us and I know you won’t let us down. Take care all of you and keep in touch.
Along with saying goodbye to the Year 6 children I would also like to say a huge welcome to the new children that will be joining us in September. I know you will all settle down well in St Bega’s family.
Well I think that is all for this term - take care everyone, look after each other and stay safe and I really really look forward to seeing you all in September.
Love Mrs Dolphin xx
PS There will be messages and updates going out to your parents/carers so remind them to keep checking
