Our Nursery Setting

OUR NURSERY SETTING

In nursery, we provide a stimulating, motivating and language rich environment where children learn through play. We believe that scaffolded learning enriches children’s experiences and use this approach where appropriate. We believe that children learn best when they feel secure and happy. We strive to provide a loving, caring and nurturing environment that enables all our children to reach their full potential. We provide a structured and daily routine which enables the children to feel safe and secure in their learning environment. Our environment reflects the children interests and achievements and this is valued and celebrated. During each session children partake in adult led whole class teaching, adult directed and initiated activities and child-initiated activities.  Children are encouraged to participate in adult led activities and child initiated to support and extend their learning.

In Nursery, children’s interests, learning and progress are exhibited and demonstrated in a range of ways which include:
